Weaving

In these collection I work with copper mesh, I had I wonderful workshop with Mary Chuduk, and she introduce to me these versatile material. Ductile before enameling, and rigid and light after. The mesh is used as a flexible light structure that combines with the enamel, as a reinforced structure with multiple possibilities of shapes and compositions, an sculptural approach to enamel that is rich in possibilities. The rhythms of the mesh reminds us snake flakes, giving name to one collection. The power of the image of a tempting force that leads us to unknown worlds.

I have developed three collections with mesh: Culebrón: Inspire in snake skins, with different colors and shapes, “desmallados”, base on the low relief printed of the mesh in the copper and “surreal” dreamlike  approach to composition that explores a wide range of shapes and figures.
